About Deb — Your Calm-in-the-Chaos Postpartum & Sleep Expert
You don’t need a dozen conflicting opinions or another sleepless Google spiral at 2 a.m.
You need someone who knows what’s normal, what’s not, and how to help your whole household rest again.
That’s where I come in.
I’m Deb Pocica — postpartum doula, infant sleep specialist, and the person families call when they want gentle guidance, evidence-based support, and nights that finally feel manageable. I've been in the industry for almost two decades and have seen the changes in sleep and postpartum guidelines. I take clients all over Chicagoland and live in Elmhurst with four of my five children. I'm here to help you and your family in this exciting and overwhelming time.
Why I Do This Work
Families often prepare for birth…but not for what actually happens once the baby is home.
The feeding questions.
The unpredictable sleep.
The “is this normal?” moments.
The exhaustion.
The guilt.
The Googling.
(So. Much. Googling.)
I became a postpartum + sleep professional because I wanted parents to feel supported, not overwhelmed. To feel confident, not confused. And to have someone they trust — someone who actually listens — walking alongside them through the newborn stage and beyond.

My Approach
Not rigid.
Not judgey.
Not “you must do it THIS way.”
Just warm, realistic, evidence-based care tailored to your baby and your family.
You’ll always get:
✔ Clear guidance without pressure
✔ Support that respects feeding choices
✔ Gentle sleep foundations (with the honesty that yes, babies sometimes cry)
✔ A calmer, smoother fourth trimester
✔ Partnership, not perfectionism
You’ll never get:
✘ Shame about how you parent
✘ Harsh sleep training or extreme methods
✘ A one-size-fits-all plan
✘ Someone who ignores your instincts
✘ Judgment over how tired, scared, or lost you feel
