Events and Community

Parenthood was never meant to be done alone — but many parents find themselves feeling isolated, overwhelmed, or unsure where to turn for honest support. At Birth Before and After, our events are designed to create space for connection, reassurance, and real conversations about life with a baby.
Some events happen online, others in person, but they all share the same goal: helping parents feel less alone and more confident in this season of life.
Whether you’re looking for practical insight, emotional reassurance, or simply a chance to talk with other parents who understand, these gatherings are here to support you.

Sip & Support: A Parent Social

Sips & Support: A Parent Social is a relaxed in-person gathering created for parents who want connection without pressure. These events combine a welcoming social atmosphere with thoughtful conversation about the realities of parenting. Guests enjoy curated alcohol-free mocktails while meeting other parents who are navigating the same stage of life. Each event includes a short, guided discussion topic — often something parents quietly struggle with — followed by plenty of time to talk, ask questions, and simply spend time with other adults who understand what this season of life can feel like. The goal is simple: real conversation, genuine community, and a space where parents can exhale for a little while.

Doula After Dark

Late-night parenting questions have a way of feeling bigger in the quiet hours. Doula After Dark is a weekly video where we talk honestly about the things parents are often Googling at 2–4am — baby sleep struggles, feeding worries, emotional overwhelm, relationship shifts, and the many unexpected parts of life with a new baby. Each episode is about fifteen minutes of calm, straightforward conversation designed to normalize what you’re experiencing and help you feel a little less alone in it. Think of it as a supportive late-night check-in with a doula who understands both the science and the emotional side of early parenthood.

New episodes drop every Wednesday at 9:00pm Central time on Facebook and on Friday on YouTube
